Two Vehicles Collide on Loma Vista Road in Ventura Kills One Passenger

 
VENTURA, CA (February 18, 2025) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Loma Vista Road and Victoria Avenue in Ventura on Saturday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 1:45 p.m. on February 15. The crossing is roughly midway on a stretch of Victoria that cuts between Telegraph and Foothill roads. According to the Ventura Police Department, a silver Lexus SUV was traveling eastbound on Loma Vista and was going through the intersection.
 
At the same time, a GMC pickup truck was heading northbound on Victoria and was making a right turn onto Loma Vista.
 
While the GMC was making a turn, the eastbound SUV clipped the pickup, rolling it over.
 
First responders found two people trapped inside the SUV with serious injuries. One had life-threatening injuries.
 
A female passenger in the SUV later died at the scene. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
The two people in the pickup got out of the vehicle on their own. They did not suffer serious injuries.
 
Paramedics transported four people to a hospital in unknown conditions.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
