Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 41 in Madera County Leaves One Driver Dead
MADERA COUNTY, CA (January 21, 2025) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 41 in Madera County Sunday evening on January 19.
The fatal accident happened just after 9:00 p.m. at Road 209. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man driving a Honda was heading south on the highway while another driver in a Chevrolet Cobalt was heading north.
For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet went into the left turn lane and collided into the Honda.
As a result, the driver of the Chevrolet suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. They were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The man driving the Honda suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
