Traffic Accident on Highway 101 near Aromas Ends in Fatality

 
CENTRAL COAST, CA (March 18, 2024) – One person was killed in a traffic accident on Highway 101 in the Central Coast area near Aromas Friday on March 15.
 
The fatal accident happened along the highway just south of Rocks Road. CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but they confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The identity of the victim was withheld pending next of kin notification.
 
The crash also caused a significant traffic back-up for miles, extending all the way to Crazy Horse Canyon Road.
 
No other information available at this time. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
