Pocket Bike and Vehicle Collide on South Kern Avenue in East LA Killing One

 
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (August 30, 2022) – One person was killed in a pocket bike accident on South Kern Avenue in East Los Angeles on Sunday evening, August 28.
 
The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection with West Whittier Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pocket bike collided with another vehicle in unclear circumstances.
 
When officers arrived, they found one person dead at the scene.
 
The identity of the victim was withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
