Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Multiple Vehicles on 80 Freeway in Rocklin

 
ROCKLIN, CA (August 13, 2024) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on 80 Freeway in Rocklin early Tuesday morning on August 3.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:30 a.m. at the Highway 65 connector. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was trying to cross the freeway when they were struck by several vehicles.
 
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Their identity was not immediately available.
 
It was unclear if the involved drivers stayed after the crash.
 
Crews issued a SigAlert in the area, closing all freeway lanes until around 7:00 a.m.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the fatality are still under investigation.
