Early Morning Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles on 605 Freeway in Los Alamitos Leaves One Dead

 
LOS ALAMITOS, CA (May 26, 2024) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 605 Freeway in Los Alamitos early Saturday morning on May 25.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:01 a.m. along the northbound freeway at Katella Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, several vehicles were involved in the crash.
 
When officers arrived, they found the damaged vehicles and the victim lying in one of the middle lanes of the freeway.
 
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
It was unknown if there were other injuries. It was also unclear if the victim was a pedestrian or a passenger in one of the vehicles.
 
The circumstances of this fatality remain under investigation.
