Multi-Vehicle Accident on 57 Freeway in Anaheim Ends in Fatality

 
ANAHEIM, CA (September 26, 2024) – At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 57 Freeway in Anaheim Wednesday evening on September 25.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:00 p.m. at 91 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, at least five vehicles including a black Jeep, a silver Lexus SUV and a Toyota Camry were involved. The driver of the Lexus was reportedly driving recklessly prior to the crash.
 
When officers arrived, they located three vehicles in the HOV lane and two other cars blocking the right two lanes.
 
Offices also confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the crash.
 
It was unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
