BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 29, 2024) – At least one person died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 178 in Bakersfield Friday afternoon on September 27.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 5:00 p.m. at McCray Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a sedan and a motorcycle collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found at least one person dead at the scene. The name, age and city of residence of the victim were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
