Head-On Crash on Vasco Road in Byron Leaves One Person Dead and Three Others in Critical Condition

 
BYRON, CA (February 7, 2025) – One person was killed in a head-on accident on Vasco Road in Byron Thursday night on February 6.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:15 p.m. near Camino Diablo. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man driving a Honda CR-V northbound on Vasco Road crossed over the double-yellow divider lines and collided head-on with a Toyota Prius carrying three occupants.

As a result of the crash, a passenger in the Prius suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The victim was not yet identified.

The driver of the Honda, along with the other two passengers in the Toyota, sustained severe injuries and were transported to the hospital.

Investigators ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
