DUI Crash Involving Two Vehicles on 15 Freeway in Temecula Ends in Fatality

 
TEMECULA, CA (August 7, 2024)– One person was killed in a DUI crash on 15 Freeway in Temecula Tuesday morning on August 6.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:18 a.m. just south of Highway 79. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Toyota Camry and a pickup truck collided along the northbound lanes of the freeway.
 
The impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn, ejecting one person onto the southbound side of the freeway.
 
Emergency crews responded and pronounced at least one person dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and city of residence of the victim were not immediately available.
 
CHP officials said alcohol and/or drugs appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
