Bicycle Involved in Fatal Accident on Coffee Road in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 15, 2021) – Officials confirmed that one person died in a bicycle accident on Coffee Road on March 13.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Jet Way around 6:45 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was riding a bicycle southbound in the northbound lanes on Coffee Road. Subsequently, the bicycle veered into traffic in the outside lane and collided with an unidentified vehicle head-on.
As a result, Bakersfield police said the bicyclist died in the incident. The Kern County Coroner’s Office did not yet release the victim’s identify pending kin notification.
The driver involved stayed and cooperated with the police. As of now, no other details are available. However, investigators continue to gather information about this fatal bicycle accident on Coffee Road.
