Driver Sustains Injuries after Crashing into Semi Truck on Highway 395 in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (May 18, 2023) – One person was injured in a semi truck accident on Highway 395 in Hesperia Tuesday morning on May 16.
 
The accident happened around 11:05 a.m. just north of Main Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a black Lexus drove around vehicles and straight into the rear tires of the semi tractor-trailer.
 
As a result, the driver of the sedan was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
The sedan sustained damage to the driver’s side and was disabled in the northbound lane.
 
The driver of the semi was not injured.
 
Traffic on the highway was jammed in both directions while the sedan was towed and debris was removed from the roadway.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
