Officer Hit, Injured by Tow Vehicle During Snow on Highway 41 in Yosemite
YOSEMITE, CA (January 30, 2023) — An officer was struck and injured by a tow truck during snowy weather on Highway 41 near Tenaya Lodge.
According to officials, the accident happened around 11:00 a.m. Sunday. Two officers responded to Highway 41 near Jackson Road about several cars being stuck in the snow. One of the officers was reportedly outside his vehicle when a tow truck began to slide and strike the officer, pinning him between the tow truck and another car.
Soon after, paramedics airlifted the officer to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. There, the officer received treatment for his minor to moderate injuries.
Reports noted no other injuries in the accident, but an examination into the incident should confirm more details.
