SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (May 4, 2021) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 74 in San Juan Capistrano Saturday afternoon, May 1.
 
The accident happened around 1:51 p.m. near Casper’s Regional Park. According to the California Highway Patrol, a sedan and a motorcycle collided on the eastbound Ortega Highway for unknown reasons.
 
Paramedics responded and found the motorcyclist down in lanes with serious injuries. They rushed the victim to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Authorities issued a SigAlert for eastbound Ortega Highway by 2:05 p.m. but the roadway reopened at 2:20 p.m.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the crash to determine the ultimate cause and factors involved.
