Motorcycle Rider Dies after Going Off Ravine on Highway 74 in Rancho Mission Viejo

 
RANCHO MISSION VIEJO, CA (February 24, 2025) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on Highway 74 in Rancho Mission Viejo Saturday afternoon on February 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:16 p.m. just east of Sierra Pasture Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was heading eastbound when it veered off the highway and went about 30 feet down a ravine.
 
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity was not immediately available.
 
It was unclear if there are other vehicles involved. It was also unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Further investigation is underway.
