Rider Dies after Colliding with Pickup Truck along East Los Angeles Avenue in Somis

 
SOMIS, CA (April 20, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on East Los Angeles Avenue in Somis on Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 9:12 a.m. on April 18 along Highway 118 at Bradley Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist collided with a white Dodge Ram pickup truck for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused fatal injuries on the motorcyclist and they died at the scene. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once family members are notified.
 
It is unclear if the driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries in the crash.
 
The California Department of Transportation reported lanes in both directions were narrowed down to one-way traffic control on Los Angeles Avenue due to the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
