Motorcycle Rider Dies after Struck by Two Hit-and-Run Vehicles on South Avenue 20 in Lincoln Heights

 
LINCOLN HEIGHTS, CA (May 20, 2024) – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash at South Avenue 20 and North Broadway in Lincoln Heights on Saturday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:40 a.m. on May 18. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by a vehicle, possibly a Ford F-150 pickup truck, knocking him to the ground. Officers said that vehicle ran a red light prior to the crash.
 
Moments later, another oncoming vehicle also struck the victim while he was on the roadway.
 
The drivers of both vehicles fled the scene after the crash.
 
Paramedics arrived and rushed the victim to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
At this time, the identity of the motorcyclist was not immediately available.
