Fiery Crash on South Vasco Road in Livermore Kills Two and Critically Injures One
LIVERMORE, CA (July 24, 2024) – A mother and her 5-year-old daughter were killed in a fiery accident on South Vasco Road near Naylor Avenue in Livermore early Sunday morning.
The fatal accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on July 21. According to the Livermore Police Department, a black Hyundai was traveling northbound on South Vasco Road when went off the roadway and crashed into a tree. It then burst into flames.
First responders pulled a 25-year-old man and the 5-year-old girl from the burning car. They rushed them to the hospital, where the child was declared dead. The man was listed in critical condition.
A 24-year-old woman died at the scene.
Police said all three victims are from Manteca. The man and the woman were in a dating relationship and were with their child.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release the identities of the two deceased victims once family members are properly notified.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
