SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (October 16, 2024) — Minor injuries were reported after a big rig logging truck crashed into a car and a traffic light at Hazel Avenue and Oak Avenue.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of an accident around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. Upon dispatch, CHP learned that a big rig crashed into a car and a traffic light at the intersection. As a result, the traffic signal light for northbound traffic toppled onto the road. Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported among an unknown number of people.
 
Due to the crash, the Sacramento County Department of Transportation responded to fix the traffic light.
