Miguel Garcia Killed in Pedestrian Crash at Broadway and Mission Avenue

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (September 18, 2024) — Miguel Garcia died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Broadway and Mission Avenue.
 
According to Escondido Police, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 6:09 a.m. For an unknown reason, a driver of a vehicle outfitted with large spare tires and a red jack attached to its back end continued driving after hitting 58-year-old Miguel Leonides Garcia. The white off-road style SUV fled north on Broadway and east on Lincoln Avenue.
 
Subsequently, paramedics responded and took Garcia, of Escondido, to a hospital for treatment. However, despite receiving care, he passed away from severe injuries.
