Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by SUV on Sierra Highway at Avenue I

 
LANCASTER, CA (August 2, 2022) – Martin Contreras died in a motorcycle hit-and-run crash on Sierra Highway in Lancaster early Monday morning, August 1.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:51 a.m. just north of Avenue I. According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, Contreras was riding his motorcycle when a white SUV struck him.
 
After the crash, the driver of the SUV did not stop to render aid.
 
Contreras, a 59-year-old Lancaster resident, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large.
