56-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Car in San Mateo

 
SAN MATEO, CA (February 12, 2025) – Mark Kremer was killed in a hit-and-run crash in San Mateo Saturday evening on February 8.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 9:00 p.m. on Fashion Island Boulevard near the bridge toward South Norfolk Street. According to the San Mateo Police Department, Kremer was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
After striking him, the driver of the vehicle took off without stopping.
 
Kremer suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 56-year-old San Mateo resident.
 
At this time, the suspect remains at large. An investigation is still ongoing.
