Mang Yang, Eliza Yang Die, Adam Canales Booked After Vehicle Crashes Into Cedar Avenue and Nevada Avenue Home During Fresno Police Chase

 
FRESNO, CA (October 18, 2024) — Mang Yang and Eliza Yang died after a car crashed into their Cedar Avenue home at Nevada Avenue during Wednesday’s police chase.
 
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly police pursuit happened when officers spotted a disturbance between gang members. While trying to investigate, officers saw a man enter a white Chevrolet Tahoe and drive from the scene.
 
Subsequently, a chase unfolded until the Chevy Tahoe crashed into a house at Cedar Avenue and Nevada Avenue, where the two sisters lived.
 
After the crash, the driver left the scene but Fresno officers arrested the suspect a short time later, identifying him as 18-year-old Adam Canales — a gang member on probation for possession of a firearm.
 
Tragically, several people were inside the house at the time, including 25-year-old Mang Yang and 18-year-old Eliza Yang. One of them was trapped underneath the vehicle before passing away.
