Man Struck, Killed by Two Vehicles on East Yosemite Avenue [Merced, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on East Yosemite Avenue in Merced

 
MERCED, CA (August 29, 2024) – A man was struck and killed by two vehicle on East Yosemite Avenue, Monday evening.
 
According to the Merced Police Department, the incident happened on August 26, at about 9:00 p.m. A pedestrian attempted to cross East Yosemite Avenue when an eastbound Toyota hit him near Cordova Avenue.
 
The Toyota reportedly left the area without rendering aid.
 
A short time later, a Honda Civic also hit the man. The Honda driver immediately pulled over and waited for the police to arrive.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities did not release the identity of the victim.
 
Investigators believe that the hit-and-run vehicle sustained major damages from the collision.
