Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Sedan on Studebaker Road in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (October 13, 2022) – A man died in a pedestrian accident at Studebaker Road and Spring Street in Long Beach late Tuesday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:55 on October 11. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the pedestrian was laying in the roadway, outside of a marked crosswalk, when a 2007 Honda Civic struck him.
 
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
 
The driver of the Civic, an adult resident of Long Beach, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Neither speed nor distracted or impaired driving are believed to be contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
