34-Year-Old Man Hit, Killed by Vehicle on East Washington Avenue in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (January 2, 2024) – A 34-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on East Washington Avenue, Thursday evening.
 
According to the El Cajon Police Department, the incident happened on December 21, at about 10:34 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a Toyota Camry hit the victim in the 700 block of East Washington Avenue.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
El Cajon police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Anyone with information is asked to call ECPD at (619) 579-3311.
