Motorcyclist Dies after Crashing into Big Rig on Highway 132 in Waterford
WATERFORD, CA (February 12, 2024) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 132 in Waterford Friday morning on February 9.
The fatal accident happened around 10:30 a.m. just east of Blossom Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Wayne Blair of Patterson was driving a 2004 Peterbilt big rig westbound, moving at low speed while attempting to turn left onto a residential property.
At the same time, the man was riding his 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound, approaching the truck from behind. He moved into the eastbound lane and struck the left side of the trailer.
The impact of the crash ejected the rider from his motorcycle. He died at the scene. He was a 23-year-old Modesto resident.
Blair was not injured.
Drugs and were not considered as factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
