Pedestrian Dies in Early Morning Hit-and-Run Crash on Arroyo Seco Parkway in Highland Park
HIGHLAND PARK, CA (September 23, 2024) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Arroyo Seco Parkway in Highland Park early Saturday morning on September 21.
The fatal crash happened around 1:28 a.m. along the southbound parkway near the Avenue 43 exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, an unknown vehicle struck the male pedestrian and fled the scene.
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the roadway with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large. An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
