Truck Rolls Over on 40 Freeway in Ludlow Killing One Person

 
LUDLOW, CA (January 7, 2025) – A man was killed in a rollover accident on 40 Freeway south of Ludlow Monday morning on January 6.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:30 a.m. near mile marker 40. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet truck with a 30 feet utility trailer was heading eastbound on the freeway when it flipped and rolled own the right shoulder approximately 100 feet into a wash.
 
First responders found the male driver of the truck trapped with no pulse. A dog inside the vehicle was bleeding.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
CHP called Animal Control for the injured dog.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
The Barstow CHP is handling the investigation.
