Passenger Dies after Car Crashes into Tree on 80 Freeway near Hercules
HERCULES, CA (November 4, 2024) – A man was killed in a car accident on 80 Freeway near Hercules early Saturday morning on November 2.
The fatal accident happened around 12:45 a.m. at the Willow Avenue off-ramp. According to California Highway Patrol, a woman was driving a gold Toyota Corolla westbound on the freeway when she crashed into a large tree.
As a result of the crash, the 36-year-old male passenger of the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His identity was not immediately available.
The woman suffered major injuries and was rushed to a hospital. She is expected to recover.
No other cars were involved in the crash.
