Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Sedan on 20th Street in Westminster

 
WESTMINSTER, CA (June 23, 2024) – A 54-year-old Alaskan man was killed in a bicycle accident at 20th Street and Beach Boulevard in Westminster on Friday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:00 a.m. on June 21. According to the Westminster Police Department, the man was riding his bicycle in traffic lanes when he was struck by a Lincoln Town Car.
 
Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded a short time later and pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the Lincoln remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Police said alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with further information is asked to contact Westminster investigators at 714-548-3787.
 
The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
