Man Hurt in Scooter Crash on Mission Gorge Road in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 6, 2024) — A 39-year-old man was injured in a scooter accident on Mission Gorge Road near the 8 Freeway.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the scooter crash happened in the Grantville neighborhood of San Diego around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.
 
For an unknown reason, a man riding a southbound scooter collided with the front bumper of a westbound Acura MDX leaving a parking lot. Subsequently, San Diego Police Department officers and paramedics responded to the scene. Paramedics attended to the victim who sustained an open fracture to his left tibia and fibula. As for the 65-year-old woman in the Acura, she was unharmed.
