Man Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash on Kiowa Road in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (July 23, 2024) — A man suffered a serious injury in a 2-car accident on Kiowa Road near Cayuga Road.
 
The two-vehicle crash happened around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday in Apple Valley. Reports say several drivers attempted to stop to avoid hitting a dog on the road. However, a driver of a white Chevy S10 struck a burgundy Nissan Frontier, failing to stop in time.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and found the man trapped in the Chevy and needing extrication. Upon freeing him, they took him to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition. Fortunately, the man and woman sitting inside the Nissan were unharmed.
 
Due to the crash, police closed Kiowa Road for two hours to investigate.
