PASO ROBLES, CA (November 26, 2024) — A man and a horse suffered minor injuries in a 2-car accident on Wellsona Road near Highway 101.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened on Thursday around 8:50 p.m. For an unknown reason, a 47-year-old man from Peoria, Ariz., only identified as Valerio, entered an oncoming 2020 Ram 1500 pickup’s path. Subsequently, Valerio’s 2012 Ford F-450, which was towing a horse trailer, was hit by the Ram.
 
Minutes later, firefighter-paramedics arrived at the scene to find the horse with minor injuries.
 
The 37-year-old Ram driver from Gonzales, only identified as Rodriguezcanedelas, reported minor injuries to his chest and lower back.
 
CHP officers did not suspect impairment to have played a role in the accident, but the Templeton area is investigating this crash more closely.
