Naked Man Dies after Struck by Semi on Highway 99 in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (October 10, 2024) – A man was hit and killed by a semi truck on Highway 99 in Fresno early Wednesday morning on October 9.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 4:00 a.m. near McKinley Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was walking on the highway naked directly into the path of the semi truck that was traveling northbound.
 
The 51-year-old semi-truck driver swerved to avoid the man, but unsuccessful. The semi struck the man.
 
As a result, the unidentified victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the semi stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Drugs or alcohol was not a factor for the driver, but it is unknown if the victim was under the influence.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
