FAIR OAKS, CA (December 3, 2024) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Madison Avenue near Sunrise Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:15 p.m. Sunday. A male pedestrian outside of a marked crosswalk walked directly into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Subsequently, the eastbound driver struck the man who later died from his injuries at the scene.
 
Moments later, the driver waited for the authorities and cooperated with police investigators. Authorities did not confirm the ultimate cause of the accident, but they are looking further into this crash.
