Fatal DUI Pedestrian Crash on 15 Freeway in Scripps Ranch

 
SCRIPPS RANCH CA (September 20, 2022) — A man died in a DUI pedestrian accident on the 15 Freeway near Miramar Road on Sunday.
 
According to authorities, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 4:10 a.m. For DUI reasons, a driver in a black Lexus sedan struck a 39-year-old man walking on the 15 freeway.
 
Following the accident, paramedics and officers responded to the scene and confirmed one fatality. Authorities have not released the victim’s name but did say he was a resident of San Marcos.
 
Following the crash, officers arrested the 23-year-old San Diego man driving the Lexus on suspicion of DUI.
