Leslie Hernandez Detained in Hit-and-Run Crash near Milpas Street and Canon Perdido Street

 
SANTA BARBARA, CA (January 25, 2024) — Leslie Hernandez faces charges in a hit-and-run accident near Milpas Street and Canon Perdido Street.
 
According to reports, the hit-and-run happened around 6:40 p.m. Sunday. For DUI reasons, 23-year-old Hernandez struck a parked car while a person tried to enter the vehicle. The driver, later identified as Hernandez, did not stop and left the scene.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived at the collision site and cared for the victim who suffered moderate injuries. Due to the victim’s condition, paramedics took the individual to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
 
Not long after, officers located the hit-and-run vehicle along Spring Street and arrested Hernandez. During the arrest, officers determined that DUI factored into the cause and held her on five misdemeanor counts, including DUI and resisting arrest.
