Kelly Erwin, Raymond White and Steven Bresolin Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 395 [Susanville, CA]

Multi-Vehicle Crash in Susanville Kills Three People

 
SUSANVILLE, CA (January 31, 2025) – Kelly Ann Erwin, Raymond Edward White and Steven Ray Bresolin were killed in a multi-vehicle accident in Susanville Thursday morning on January 30.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:40 a.m. on Highway 395 near Waldron Lane. According to the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, Erwin was driving a 2014 Dodge Durango southbound when she unsafely passed a semi-truck without enough clearance for the northbound traffic.
 
At the time of the unsafe pass, White was driving a 2022 Toyota 4Runner northbound on Highway 395.
 
Both Erwin and White drove their vehicles onto the east paved shoulder of highway to avoid hitting each other. However, their vehicles still collided.
 
After the initial crash, Bresolin pulled over onto the west shoulder of highway. He exited his car and went to help with the crash.
 
That was when a 2018 Ford driven by a 60-year-old Janesville woman struck Bresolin, who was standing near the crash site, before hitting the 2014 Dodge.
 
As a result of the crash, Erwin, White and Bresolin all died at the scene.
 
Erwin was a 46-year-old Susanville resident, White was 67 years old of Janesville, and Bresolin was 52 years old Susanville.

Meanwhile, the woman driving the Ford stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The crash is still under investigation. Authorities asked anyone with further information to call Susanville CHP at 530-252-1800.
