Tatto Artist on Motorcycle Dies after Struck by DUI Driver in Clovis
CLOVIS, CA (September 2, 2024) – Josh Cowdrey was killed in a DUI crash in Clovis Wednesday morning on August 28.
The fatal crash happened around 10:45 a.m. near Barstow Avenue and Stanford Avenue. According to the Clovis Police Department, Cowdrey was riding his motorcycle on Barstow Avenue when a woman driving a red SUV struck him.
The impact sent Cowdrey across the road. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 37-year-old Clovis resident and a tattoo artist.
Officers identified the driver of the SUV as 57-year-old Tammera Pittman. They arrested her on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
Pittman posted her $137,000 bail on Thursday and was released from jail.
Cowdrey’s family created a donation page for his funeral expenses.
