67-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck in Oxnard
OXNARD, CA (May 11, 2024)– Josefina Romo was killed in a pedestrian accident in Oxnard Friday morning on May 10.
The fatal accident happened shortly before 5:25 a.m. on Oxnard Boulevard at Rose Avenue. According to the Oxnard Police Department, Romo was crossing in a marked crosswalk when a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck struck her.
Romo suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was 67 years old from Oxnard.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 58-year-old Oxnard man, was not injured. He remained on scene and cooperated with police.
Investigators do not believe speed, alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
