Jay Britton Killed in Head-On Accident on Ironwood Avenue [Moreno Valley, CA]

Head-On Crash in Moreno Valley Kills One and Injures Two Others

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (October 11, 2024) – Jay Britton was killed in a head-on accident in Moreno Valley Wednesday evening on October 9.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 9:00 p.m. at Ironwood Avenue and Helga Lane. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Britton was driving on Ironwood, approaching Helga, when his vehicle crossed over into oncoming traffic, crashing head-on into a car heading in the opposite direction.
 
It was unclear which vehicle was headed east or west.
 
As a result of the crash, Britton suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 60-year-old Moreno Valley resident.
 
Two other people in the other car sustained life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for treatment.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
