Motorcycle Rider Dies after Crash with Another Vehicle on Carpenter Road in Modesto
MODESTO, CA (December 9, 2024) – Jason Segale was killed in a motorcycle accident in Modesto Thursday evening on December 5.
The fatal accident happened around 9:00 p.m. at Carpenter Road and Elm Avenue, just south of the Highway 132 bypass. According to the Modesto Police Department, Segale was riding motorcycle north on Carpenter when he collided with a vehicle that was turning south from westbound Elm.
The impact caused Segale fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was a 52-year-old Ceres resident, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
It was unknown if the involved driver stayed after the crash.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Authorities urged witnesses of the crash to contact Traffic Safety Officer Justin Beverson at [email protected].
