81-Year-Old Napa Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in St. Helena

 
ST. HELENA, CA (August 7, 2024) – Jackie Rhodes was killed in a hit-and-run crash in St. Helena Sunday morning on August 4.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:19 a.m. on Highway 29, just between the Culinary Institute of America Greystone and the Charles Krug Winery. According to the St. Helena Police Department, Rhodes was walking along the highway when a passing vehicle struck her.
 
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle took off without stopping.
 
Rhodes suffered serious head injuries, but was conscious and alert when she was found. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she later died. She was an 81-year-old Napa resident.
