4 Hurt as Bus Rolls Backward into Wall in Westlake

 
WESTLAKE, CA (December 18, 2023) — In the Westlake area of Los Angeles, a bus crash left four people hurt on Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident occurred at 270 South Loma Drive around 3:39 p.m. A preliminary investigation showed that a bus operator grappled with a mechanical issue outside the bus, leading to the bus unexpectedly rolling back. It subsequently crashed into a nearby retaining wall.
 
At the time of the crash, there were approximately 15 to 20 people onboard the bus. The bus operator and four passengers received treatment in a hospital for their minor injuries. The LAFD crew also evaluated the remaining passengers at the scene.
