Hugo Ayala Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway [Upland, CA]

25-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Upland

 
UPLAND, CA (January 30, 2025) – Hugo Ayala was killed in a pedestrian accident in Upland early Saturday morning on January 25.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:20 a.m. on 10 Freeway, just west of South Sultana Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Ayala was walking on the freeway when a vehicle struck him.
 
The impact caused Ayala fatal injuries and he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a 25-year-old Ontario resident.
 
It was unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash.
 
The circumstances of the fatality are still under investigation.
