Head-On Crash in Yountville Kills 46-Year-Old Fairfield Woman and Injures Five Others
YOUNTVILLE, CA (June 10, 2024) – Hipolita Perez was killed in a head-on crash near Silverado Vineyards in Yountville Saturday afternoon on June 8.
The fatal crash happened around 4:45 p.m. on Silverado Trail, just between Oak Knoll and Yountville Cross Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Sienna minivan veered into the northbound lane and collided head-on into a BMW X3 SUV.
After the crash, the male driver of the minivan fled the scene on foot.
Perez, a 46-year-old Fairfield resident, was one of the passengers in the minivan. She died at the scene.
Three other passengers in the minivan were injured. One of them, a 19-year-old man, suffered major injuries.
Meanwhile, the 62-year-old male driver of the SUV had minor injuries. His 62-year-old female passenger had major injuries.
At this time, authorities are still searching for the minivan driver. An investigation is underway.
