Head-On Accident on Highway 26 in Valley Springs Sends Five People to Hospital

 
VALLEY SPRINGS, CA (December 16, 2024) – Five people were injured in a head-on accident on Highway 26 in Valley Springs Thursday night on December 12.
 
The accident happened around 6:20 p.m. at Silver Rapids Road. According to the CHP, at least two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
The Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department crews responded and found five patients, two of them suffered major injuries. One person had to be extricated from a vehicle.
 
Three ambulances took all five patients to hospitals for treatment.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
