Fernando Perez Faces Charges Following Police Chase and Accident at MacArthur Drive and Eleventh Street
TRACY, CA (February 12, 2024) — Fernando Perez faces an arrest following a police chase and a crash at MacArthur Drive and Eleventh Street.
According to Tracy police officers, the police chase happened on February 2. Upon spotting a speeding driver in a silver BMW, officers tried to pull the man over. However, instead of stopping, the 33-year-old motorist struck an occupied Tracy patrol car and led officers on a police chase.
Subsequently, the suspect, identified as Fernando David Perez, lost control of his BMW and careered into an orchard. Following a brief chase on foot and the use of a stun gun, Tracy police arrested him and took him to the San Joaquin County Jail for an existing homicide warrant.
Fortunately, no officer involved in either the chase or crash reported an injury; however, Perez was injured in the incident.
