Burbank Crash Claims Life of Young Woman

 
BURBANK, CA (September 6, 2023) — A 24-year-old woman lost her life following a car crash at Victory and Magnolia boulevards on Sunday afternoon.
 
As per the Burbank Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday. A Dodge sped through the intersection of Victory and Magnolia boulevards. It subsequently collided with a black Nissan SUV that was making a left eastbound turn. The Dodge also struck a curb, a traffic pole, and a power pole on the intersection’s northeast corner.
 
Responding officers found Evonnie Nicole Caceres from Saugus in the passenger seat of the Dodge with severe injuries. Emergency medical responders quickly transported her to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. Unfortunately, she passed away. The Dodge’s driver sustained moderate injuries. They received medical attention at a local hospital according to the police.
 
The driver of the Nissan was sole occupant of the vehicle. They escaped unharmed and remained at the scene. Meanwhile, debris from the crash hit a pedestrian standing nearby. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to a hospital.
